Manufacturing Engineer Manager

Join our expanding organization and be a part of our advancements.Manufacturing Engineer Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate the efforts of both the maintenance and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure the safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead sustaining efforts as well as value engineering objectives related to manufacturing process improvements.
  • Develop new assembly processes as well as evaluate existing assembly processes and methods and provide recommendations to reduce cost and improve manufacturability of products.
  • Assist in development, writing and maintaining equipment and assembly procedures in the form of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate quality data and develop methods to improve quality levels.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, techniques and quality issues and develop corrective actions to maintain productivity and acceptance level.
  • Generate labor estimates for quote requests and provide recommendations to reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Perform time studies of equipment and processes to ensure product costs are accurate.
  • Ability and willingness to work up to 85% of time on the floor to help determine and correct issues, improve processes, and create or maintain successful programs.
  • Lead or co-lead productivity projects via focusing on quality/cost/cycle time improvement measures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a lead production/manufacturing role.
  • Minimum of 3 years leading others
  • Good understanding and experience of Lean methodology.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data to provide recommendation and conclusion to support decision making.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to clearly present ideas in a variety of forums and understand others point of view.
  • Incredible ability to intelligently collaborate on cross functional teams working to resolve issues and improve processes.
