Forming a strong alliance

In spring 2019, Takeform's San Diego rep, Leza Huthinson of LevelWest, connected the company with local Steelcase dealer bkm OfficeWorks, who received the RFP to help finish the space—from wayfinding to signage to room IDs to lobby and elevator feature walls. A close working relationship readily developed—something bkm quickly appreciated. The assignment would involve collaborating with multiple firms, including the Navy's in-house design group, NAVFAC (Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command); general contractor Turner Construction; and specialty partners.

“NAVFAC asked bkm to take on the interior signage and wayfinding scope. So we showed them that we were thinking about all kinds of considerations that they might need but hadn't thought about. And they chose us."

“Partnering with Takeform proved invaluable. Not only were we able to fulfill the complete scope of the project's original RFP, but we had the capabilities to deliver many other aspects of the project, which greatly simplified the process and improved the outcome for our client."

Vice President of Sales, bkm

“The client realized how well we were coordinating the work of multiple suppliers, so they added exterior and parking garage signage to Takeform's to-do list."
