Painted Aluminum
A better paint process:
1. An etching primer is applied. Its etching properties enable the primer to "bite into" the aluminum.
2. The base coat or color coat is applied.
3. The clear coat is applied. The clear coat, with UV stabilizers extends the life of the paint while also protecting against scratches. Scratches go into the clear coat, not the color where they can be buffed and removed.
Aluminum Composite Material (ACM)
Two layers of aluminum sandwiching a polyethylene core. Rigid, flat and very stable – ACM, with its fluoropolymer coating, is used as a building cladding material so it lasts forever. Count on a clean, classic look with outstanding colors and finishes. Changing light will cast a range of nice hues.
