GID | High Street Atlanta

Wayfinding design unites the living, working, and gathering spaces of High Street – Atlanta’s 36-acre mixed-use destination.

High Street is a transformative 36-acre mixed-use development reshaping Atlanta’s urban landscape. Spanning approximately 7 million square feet, the project includes 3,000 residential units, 600,000 square feet of office space, 400,000 square feet of retail, 400 hotel rooms, 8,000 parking spaces, and an interconnected network of streets, parks, and public spaces. Designed around pedestrian-friendly streetscapes and vibrant gathering areas, High Street blends commerce, culture, and community into a sophisticated urban environment.

A Unified Process

The project came to Takeform through our long-standing partnership with GID, a nationally recognized real estate investment and development firm. With multiple buildings and asset types spread across several city blocks, the development required meticulous coordination across a complex, multi-use campus. Drawing on experience with other multi-building programs, Takeform collaborated closely with Huie Design and GID to translate the architectural vision into a cohesive, brand-forward wayfinding system.

Leveling Up

Ensuring effectiveness and consistency across the varied environment required a disciplined, detail-focused approach: each building – residential, retail, or parking –had unique needs, yet all signage needed to feel cohesive and reflect the development’s upscale character. With multiple construction zones active at once, coordinating design, fabrication, and installation demanded constant alignment, and clear communication among Takeform, Huie Design, GID, and on-site teams kept schedules on track and ensured smooth phase-to-phase integration.

The Collaboration

From the outset, Takeform worked hand in hand with Huie Design to align signage with the project’s architectural and interior language. The conceptual direction was translated into durable, buildable solutions that aligned with the property’s materials, finishes, and the spatial cues that shape how visitors move through the environment.

By establishing consistent standards early, we streamlined production and ensured that every wayfinding element – from residential corridors to expansive parking decks – felt like a natural extension of its environment.

A Cohesive, Multi-Product Solution

To meet the scale and diversity of High Street, Takeform delivered a comprehensive signage and wayfinding program that unifies every part of the experience. A strategic mix of Takeform products created a cohesive system, ensuring consistency across a wide range of environments.

Within the parking garages, Moxie graphic panels and the Transit signage system address the unique demands of high-traffic, multi-level environments. These components simplify vehicular and pedestrian navigation, strengthen visibility, and ensure seamless movement from parking areas into the broader High Street experience.

Execution at Scale

Behind the scenes, Takeform coordinated design collaboration, documentation, fabrication, and installation across multiple teams and buildings, maintaining both precision and flexibility as schedules and site conditions shifted. Ongoing dialogue with GID, Huie Design, and the broader construction team kept every element aligned with the design intent and real-world constraints, resulting in a unified visual language that strengthens the identity of High Street.
