Sophisticated signage brings new life to a four-story senior living renovation in central Florida.
The Glades at ChampionsGate is the most recent Watermark Retirement Communities location we’ve had the opportunity to support - our ninth collaboration to date. With 40 communities throughout the South, West and Northeast, Watermark is known for creating engaging, supportive environments for older adults. This particular project, brought to us by their design partner DesignPoint Interiors, involved the renovation of an existing four-story building in Davenport, Florida. We designed, manufactured, and installed a comprehensive signage solution that reflects Watermark’s brand vision while enhancing the day-to-day experience for residents, visitors, and staff alike.

Seamless Sophistication
From the start, this renovation was about more than updating a four-story building - it was about creating an elevated experience for everyone who walks through the doors. With refined upgrades throughout the facility, Watermark sought a signage solution that would reflect the same level of sophistication and warmth. Working in close collaboration with DesignPoint Interiors, we developed a cohesive visual language that seamlessly connects signage with architecture and interior finishes - bringing the design vision to life.
Designed to Age Well
Custom insert signage offers a polished solution for displaying restaurant menus that change frequently. With sleek frames and easily updateable inserts, they complement upscale interiors while keeping daily offerings clear and accessible for residents and guests.
Form Meets Function
Dimensional letters were used not only as signage but as sculptural design elements at The Glades. Strategically placed on feature walls and within shared spaces, they provide clear wayfinding while doubling as visual art. Typography and material choices reflect the warmth and sophistication of the interior design, creating a sense of place that feels both elegant and welcoming.
Custom Lettering on Glass
Elegant custom vinyl lettering subtly reinforces the upscale, refined aesthetic - adding a layer of sophistication that complements the retirement community’s elevated dining experience.
Room Identification + Wayfinding
Dimensional letters were used for room identification, adding depth and clarity while supporting intuitive wayfinding throughout the facility.
Corridor Zone Identification
We implemented hallway zone signage to help residents and visitors easily navigate the building, with clear identifiers like 'Orange Blossom' guiding them through specific areas.
Cohesive Communication
The signage system, developed using our Vivid sign system, offers a cohesive family of signs that includes code signage, directional signage, room identification, and restroom signage. This flexible approach ensures each sign maintains a consistent aesthetic while allowing for easy customization, providing a unified look that enhances wayfinding and supports regulatory compliance throughout the facility.
