VHB in Atlanta

Atlanta, GA
Designing a workplace where brand and materiality align.

Workplaces are increasingly designed through a hospitality lens – placing greater emphasis on experience, comfort, and a sense of place alongside function. In this context, branding and experiential graphics are no longer treated as applied layers, but as elements integrated into the material language of the space.

At VHB’s Atlanta office, this approach centers on aligning brand expression with architectural finishes – embedding it across moments ranging from reception to glass partitions and interior signage. The project demonstrates how experiential graphics can support the overall environment while maintaining a cohesive workplace identity.

A Longstanding Partner

With a national footprint and a growing portfolio of offices, VHB operates at a scale that requires consistency across locations. Since 2017, Takeform has partnered with VHB across their network – building a long-term relationship grounded in a deep understanding of their standards, processes, and evolving brand.

Spatial Harmony

Throughout the space, design decisions prioritize clarity, materiality, and visual restraint. Glass-front rooms maintain openness while incorporating subtle graphics for privacy, while shifts in color and material help define zones for focus, collaboration, and circulation. Acoustic treatments and soft finishes contribute to an environment that feels both functional and considered – supporting a range of work modes without sacrificing visual cohesion.

VHB Atlanta Reception

Brand, Built In

Rather than being applied after the fact, the VHB brand is embedded into the physical environment. Ethos dimensional letters and logos are integrated into key moments—such as the reception area – where aluminum brand elements are set against biophilic features, pairing precision with a sense of warmth and connection to nature. Designed to feel inherent to the space, these elements align with surrounding materials and contribute to a cohesive visual language.

Clearly Connected

Glass plays a central role in maintaining openness and connection throughout the workplace. Using Amplify window films, we introduced privacy and brand expression without interrupting light or sightlines. Subtle brand graphics create a balance between transparency and separation – supporting both collaboration and focus while reinforcing the overall design intent.

VHB Hallway Signage

Quietly Guided

Signage for the space was approached with restraint – supporting navigation without competing with the environment. Using our Fusion Collection, signs were designed to align with the material palette, using clean forms, refined finishes, and precise detailing. Each sign provides clarity while remaining visually quiet, reinforcing a cohesive and unobtrusive experience.

VHB Conference Room Acoustics

Top of Mind

Ceiling-suspended Oomph panels, in the color Mouse Trap, are used to define this meeting space as a distinct architectural moment within the open office. Suspended within the structural frame, they create a visual ceiling plane that brings focus and intimacy to the room below. Beyond their acoustic performance, the panels introduce texture and softness overhead – reinforcing a sense of enclosure while maintaining openness.

Working as One

Together, these elements – dimensional branding, experiential graphics, signage, and acoustic solutions – are integrated into the architecture to create a clear and cohesive environment. The result is a space that supports comfort and clarity without adding visual noise.
